We are proud to announce that research works carried out at Polifab have recently been featured on the front covers of two relevant academic journals: Advanced Materials Technologies and Nano Letters.
The first (left) is a perspective paper on phase nanoengineering:

Cover description: The picture illustrates an innovative approach called phase nanoengineering for crafting nanomaterials. In particular, advanced nanofabrication techniques such as thermal scanning probe lithography and direct laser writing are used to directly induce highly controlled, localized and stable changes in the electronic, magnetic or optical properties of materials down to the nanoscale, for realizing novel functionalities in nanodevices.
The second paper (right) features experimental results on magnonic crystals:

Cover description: The picture shows spin waves excited with a laser in a chiral magnonic crystal, corresponding to an ultrathin ferromagnetic film deposited onto an array of Pt and Ru nanowires, inducing a periodic Dzyaloshinskii–Moriya coupling. We observe flat magnonic bands localized above the Pt nanowires, where the Dzyaloshinskii–Moriya interaction is active.
