Marco Donolato is a former PhD student of the Department of Physics, very active in the field of biosensing. After his PhD he moved to Donostia (Spain) for a post-doc and then to Denmark, where he founded a start-up (Blusense Diagnostics ApS). In the seminar a novel diagnostics technology for the early detection of various diseases from a single drop of blood will be presented. By combining magnetic nanoparticles physics and Blu-Ray optics, highly sensitive bio-markers quantification is obtained within a compact detection module. The technology is now being commercialized by the startup company BluSense Diagnostics, which currently holds operations in Denmark and in Taiwan, in close connection with Blu-Ray manufacturing lines.
The seminar will be held at Polifab, via Giuseppe Colombo 81 Milano – Aula Zaffiro
Monday October 26th 2015, from 3pm to 4pm.
